Limited company bank account: requirements and comparison

  1. What should I compare on a limited company's account?
  2. How are cards and additional users priced?

The cheapest business account for a limited company is the one whose monthly price and per-transaction costs suit the company's invoicing and payment volumes. The table shows the accounts suitable for a limited company by price.

According to Danske Bank a business account is mandatory for all limited companies, but this is the bank's own claim. Banks identify their customers and establish the beneficial owners under the anti-money laundering act (Act 444/2017, Finnish). Beneficial owners are persons whose ownership or voting power is over 25%, and all limited companies and cooperatives must report them to the Trade Register. Missing information can make banking harder (PRH notice of 14 July 2026, Finnish). Check the details in the PRH guidance (Finnish). Banks usually ask for, among other things, the business ID (Y-tunnus), details of representatives, an ownership statement and financial statement information: for example Nordea and Danske Bank list their requirements on their sites.
