Housing company bank account: comparison and opening
Updated
The accounts that suit a housing company are in the table by price. Not every business account suits a housing company, so the table includes only the providers for which a housing company is marked as an allowed form.
According to Danske Bank, opening an account and changing account access rights are part of the day-to-day matters of the company's signatories, and no board minutes are needed for them. Minutes of the general meeting are needed for financing decisions, such as new loans and credit limits. The bank checks representation rights from the Trade Register extract, so it has to be up to date. S-Bank opens new housing company accounts only in connection with financing, and according to OP a housing company cannot open an account online but does it at a branch. According to Alisa Pankki a housing company is a separate legal person and needs its own account, separate from the accounts of shareholders and board members. Housing companies do not report beneficial owners to PRH (the Patent and Registration Office) (PRH, Finnish).
